Some typical guests' reviews:
"Highly Recommended. London offers so many hotel options that choosing is difficult. I have two criteria, reasonable price and close to the tube station. On this trip the Gloucester won hands down. We got a good room rate for a 4 star hotel which is across the street from the tube station. It doesn't get better than this. In a city the size of London this is better than good, its great!! Our room was large and well appointed. We had a queen size bed, a desk, 2 chairs, an armoire, good lighting and a nice bathroom with a huge tub. Just having a large room in London is a luxury. Our TV had cable so we could keep up on events at home and we had a mini bar which we resisted the temptation to use. There are several other restaurants in the neighborhood, a Pizzeria, a small convience store and a pub. This was a great location. I would love to be able to return here."
"Hotel with excellent facilities and very elegant rooms."
"It's a great 4 star hotel with a bar and friendly people working there. Gloucester Road, right across from a tube station!"
"The location is excellent and the public facilities are first rate. It's worth upgrading from the regular, standard rooms to the club level. The rooms on the club level were very nice and are configured for business people with desk space."
"Great hotel. I have stayed here twice. I believe it is an excellent European hotel. I have stayed in other hotels for the same price and they did not compare to this one. I would return for a third visit. It is also extremely close to the tube station and close to Kensington Palace."
