The Britannia Adelphi Hotel is a good value for money 3 star hotel in a great location in Liverpool City Centre, a couple of blocks from Liverpool Lime Street Rail Station, close to the shops and pubs.
There is plenty of private parking.
This is the hotel for you if you like unique, non standardised hotels, if a touch old-fashioned, and good large rooms.
It is a grand hotel with much history (was built in 1826), with original period features, marble halls, chandeliers and very impressive lounge. The rooms have old-world, not spoilt charm.
The Britannia Adelphi Hotel has white-marble indoor pool, gym, spa bath, solarium, with spa and beauty treatments.

Campanile Liverpool Hotel is a two-star hotel overlooking Liverpool Docks, in a good location near the the Echo Arena, Convention Centre and ACC Liverpool, close to McDonalds and KFC, 10 minutes from the shopping area, close to all tourist attractions.
It is few minutes' walk from Albert Dock and the Beatles Story, and it has good views of the docks and river.
No pretense but clean, comfortable beds, with friendly staff, value for money.
